ThenaroundEasterin2020,somethingmagicalhappened—anunusualtendaytideblanketedthebarren300meterlongrockbeachwithhundredsoftonsofsoftgoldensand.Scientistssuspectthatthesandhadbeengatheringoffshoreformonthsandwastransportedtothebeachbythehighwindsandpowerfulwaves.
Thelocalsaredelightedtohavetheirbeachback,especiallyasitisattractingthousandsofvisitorswishingtowitnessthepowerofnaturewiththeirowneyes.However,SeanMolloy,manageratAchillTourism,cautionsagainstgoingintothecoldwatersjustyet,saying,“Becauseofthesandcomingin,wedon'tknowhowsafethebeachisnowbecausecurrents(水流)couldbechangedandit'lltakealittlebitoftime.”Heinsteadrecommendsvisitorsenjoythesoftsandandleavetheswimmingtothedolphinsthatfrequentthearea.
