Butwhilesomeresearchhasshownhealthbenefitsat10,000steps,recentresearchfromHarvardMedicalSchoolhasshownthat,onaverage,nearly4,400stepsadayisenoughtosignificantlylowertheriskofdeathinwomen.Thiswaswhencomparedtoonlywalkingaround2,700stepsdaily.Themorestepspeoplewalked,thelowertheirriskofdyingwas,beforelevelingoffataround7,500stepsaday.Noadditionalbenefitswereseenwithmoresteps.Althoughit'suncertainwhethersimilarresultswouldbeseeninmen,it'soneexampleofhowmovingalittlebitmoredailycanimprovehealthandlowerriskofdeath.
