本单元主要涉及一些侦探案件,这类文章经常见诸报端或影视剧。
要学会了解各种犯罪行为的英语,并培养侦探故事的阅读技巧,学会利用细节进行推理,学会用定于从句来续写侦探故事,并能够提出合理的安全措施。

3.单元(或主题)整体教学思路(教学结构图)
由第一课时的简单的对犯罪嫌疑人的笔录入手,初步培养学生的推理能力;再到reading部分针对一则谋杀案,了解侦探故事破案所需要注意的各项细节;故事中所出现的定语从句的复现,利用语法课进行再次探讨;延伸出其他犯罪案件,如integratedskills课时中出现的绑架案等,到task课时中能够续侦探故事。
各课时循序渐进,环环相扣,让学生更好的了解侦探故事或小说的阅读技巧,提高阅读能力。
