Faceit,robotsareheretostay.TheyarewillingtodoANYTHING.Theymakegreatmaidsandgardeners,sweepersandscrubbers,mowersandchoppers.Therearerobotsthatcarefortheelderly,washtheirdirtybottomsandsoonperhaps,playYahtzeewiththem.Therearerobotsthatimitatepetsyetdon'trequirewalksnorlitterboxes.Evenrobotsthat'llgothefridge,grabacoldbeer,andbringittoyou.Ifit'seagertowatchtheSuperBowl,andplayWiiTennis,yougotyourselfagreatroommate.
Asfarasintermarriagewitharobot,didn'ttheytrythatinTheStepfordWives?

Mostofusarestillofofthemindsetthatroboticsissomethingthatisratherfuturistic.Westillmayhavepicturesinourheadofhumanoidrobots,flailingtheirarmsandeitherattackingtheEarthfromotherplanetsorperhapsprotectingusinsomewayoranother.Thefactofthematteris,humanoidrobotsarestillverymuchfuturisticbutmuchofthefutureofrobotsisalreadyinexistencetoday.Robotsareusedinanumberofdifferentsettingsthatyoumightfindratherinteresting.Hereisalittlebitaboutthefutureofroboticsandthefactthatmuchofitisalreadyinexistencewithwhatwearedoingnow.
