Itisgenerallybelievedthatsomepeoplearebornwithcertaintalents,forinstanceforsportormusic,andothersarenot.however,itissometimesclaimedthatanychildcanbetaughttobecomeagoodsportspersonormusician.
Discussboththeseviewsandgiveyourownopinion.
Givereasonsforyouranswerandincludeanyrelevantexamplesfromyourownknowledgeorexperience.

Therelativeimportanceofnaturaltalentandtrainingisafrequenttopicofdiscussionwhenpeopletrytoexplaindifferentlevelsofabilityin,forexample,sport,artormusic.
Obviously,educationsystemsarebasedonthebeliefthatallchildrencaneffectivelybetaughttoacquiredifferentskills,includingthoseassociatedwithsport,artormusic.Sofromourownschoolexperience,wecanfindplentyofevidencetosupporttheviewthatachildcanacquiretheseskillswithcontinuedteachingandguidedpractice.
However,somepeoplebelievethatinnatetalentiswhatdifferentiatesapersonwhohasbeentrainedtoplayasportoraninstrument,fromthosewhobecomegoodplayers.Inotherwords,thereismoretotheskillthanalearnedtechnique,andthisextratalentcannotbetaught,nomatterhowgoodtheteacherorhowfrequentlyachildpractices.
Ipersonallythinkthatsomepeopledohavetalentsthatareprobablyinheritedviatheirgenes.Suchtalentscangiveindividualsafacilityforcertainskillsthatallowthemtoexcel,whilemorehard-workingstudentsnevermanagetoreachacomparablelevel.But,aswithallquestionsofnatureversusnurture,theyarenotmutuallyexclusive.Goodmusiciansorartistsandexceptionalsportsstarshaveprobablysucceededbecauseofbothgoodtrainingandnaturaltalent.Withoutthenaturaltalent,continuoustrainingwouldbeneitherattractivenorproductive,andwithoutthetraining,thechildwouldnotlearnhowtoexploitanddeveloptheirtalent.
Inconclusion,Iagreethatanychildcanbetaughtparticularskills,buttobereallygoodinareassuchasmusic,artorsport,thensomenaturaltalentisrequired.

Itisimportantforchildrentolearnthedifferencebetweenrightandwrongatanearlyage.Punishmentisnecessarytohelpthemlearnthisdistinction.
Towhatextentdoyouagreeordisagreewiththisopinion?
Whatsortofpunishmentshouldparentsandteachersbeallowedtousetoteachgoodbehaviortochildren?
Oneimportantstageinachild’sgrowthiscertainlythedevelopmentofaconscience,whichislinkedtotheabilitytotellrightfromwrong.Thisskillcomeswithtimeandgoodparenting,andmyfirmconvictionisthatpunishmentdoesnothavemuchofaroletoplayinthis.ThereforeIhavetodisagreealmostentirelywiththegivenstatement.
Tosomeextentthequestiondependsontheageofthechild.Topunishaveryyoungchildisbothwrongandfoolish,asaninfantwillnotunderstandwhatishappeningorwhyheorsheisbeingpunished.Oncetheageofreasonisreachedhowever,achildcanberewardedforgoodbehavioranddiscouragedfrombad.Thiskindbutfirmapproachwillachievemorethanharshpunishments,whichmightentailmanynegativeconsequencesunintendedbytheparents.
Tohelpachildlearnthedifferencebetweenrightandwrong,teachersandparentsshouldfirstlyprovidegoodrolemodellingintheirownbehavior.Afterthat,ifsanctionsareneeded,thepunishmentshouldnotbeofaphysicalnature,asthatmerelysendsthemessagethatitisacceptableforlargerpeopletohitsmallerones-anoutcomewhichmaywellresultinthechildstartingtobullyothers.Norshouldthepunishmentbeinanywaycruel.
Rather,teachersandparentscanuseavarietyofmethodstodisciplinetheiryoungcharges,suchasdetention,withdrawalofprivileges,andtime-out.Makingthepunishmentfitthecrimeisausefulnotion.Whichwouldseechildrenbeingmadetopickuprubbishtheyhavedropped,cleanupgraffititheyhavedrawn,orapologisetosomeonetheyhavehurt.Inthesewaysresponsibilityisdevelopedinthechild,whichleadstomuchbetterfuturebehaviorthandoespunishment.

Peoplehavedifferentviewsabout howmuchchoicestudentsshouldhavewithregardtowhattheycanstudyatuniversity.Whilesomearguethatitwouldbebetterforstudentsto beforcedinto certainkeysubjectareas,Ibelievethateveryoneshouldbeabletostudythecourse oftheirchoice.
Therearevariousreasonswhypeoplebelievethatuniversitiesshouldonlyoffersubjectsthatwillbeusefulinthefuture.Theymayassert thatuniversitycourseslikemedicine,engineeringandinformationtechnologyaremorelikelytobebeneficialthancertainartdegrees. Fromapersonalperspective,itcanbearguedthatthesecoursesprovide morejobopportunities,careerprogression,bettersalaries,andthereforeanimprovedqualityoflifeforstudentswhotakethem. Onthesocietallevel,byforcingpeopletochooseparticularuniversitysubjects,governmentscanensurethatanyknowledgeandskillgapsintheeconomyarecovered.Finally,afocusontechnologyinhighereducationcouldleadtonewinventions,economicgrowth,andgreaterfutureprosperity.
Inspiteof thesearguments,Ibelievethatuniversitystudentsshouldbefreetochoosetheir preferred areasofstudy.Inmyopinion, societywillbenefitmore ifourstudentsarepassionateaboutwhattheyarelearning.Besides,nobodycanreallypredictwhichareasofknowledgewillbemostusefultosocietyinthefuture,anditmaybethatemployersbegintovaluecreativethinkingskillsabovepracticalortechnicalskills.Ifthiswerethecase,perhapswewouldneedmorestudentsofart,historyandphilosophythanofscienceortechnology.
Inconclusion,althoughitmightseemsensibleforuniversitiestofocusonlyonthemostusefulsubjects,Ipersonallypreferthecurrentsysteminwhichpeoplehavetherighttostudywhatevertheylike.

Inordertobeagoodmemberofanysocietytheindividualmustrespectandobeytherulesoftheircommunityandsharetheirvalues.Educatingchildrentounderstandtheneedtoobeyrulesandrespectothersalwaysbeginsinthehomeandiswidelythoughttobetheresponsibilityofparents.Theywillcertainlybethefirsttohelpchildrenlearnwhatisimportantinlife,howtheyareexpectedtobehaveandwhatroletheywillplayintheirworld.
However,learningtounderstandandsharethevaluesystemofawholesocietycannotbeachievedjustinthehome.Onceachildgoestoschooltheyareenteringawidercommunitywhereteachersandpeerswillhavejustasmuchinfluenceastheirparentsdoathome.Atschool,childrenwillexperienceworkingandlivingwithpeoplefromawholevarietyofbackgroundsfromthewidersociety.Thisexperienceshouldteachthemhowtoco-operatewitheachotherandhowtocontributetothelifeoftheircommunity.
Buttobeavaluablememberofanycommunityisnotlikelearningasimpleskill.Itissomethingthatanindividualgoesonlearningthroughoutlifeanditistheresponsibilityforeverymemberofasocietytotakeresponsibilityforhelpingtheyoungergenerationtobecomeactiveandablemembersofthatsociety.

Traditionally,childrenhavebegunstudyingforeignlanguagesatsecondaryschool,butintroducingthemearlierisrecommendedbysomeeducationalists.Thispolicyhasbeenadoptedbysomeeducationalauthoritiesorindividualschools,withbothpositiveandnegativeoutcomes.
Theobviousargumentinitsfavouristhatyoungchildrenpickuplanguagesmuchmoreeasilythanteenagers.Theirbrainsarestillprogrammedtoacquiretheirmothertongue,whichfacilitateslearninganotherlanguage,andunlikeadolescents,theyarenotinhibitedbyself-consciousness.
Thegreaterflexibilityoftheprimarytimetableallowsformorefrequent,shortersessionsandforaplay-centredapproach,thusmaintaininglearners’enthusiasmandprogress.Theircommandofthelanguageinlaterlifewillbenefitfromthisearlyexposure,whilelearningotherlanguagessubsequentlywillbeeasierforthem.Theymayalsogainabetterunderstandingofothercultures.
Thereare,however,somedisadvantages.Primaryschoolteachersaregeneralists,andmaynothavethenecessarylanguageskillsthemselves.Ifspecialistshavetobebroughtintodeliverthesesessions,theflexibilityreferredtoaboveisdiminished.Ifprimarylanguageteachingisnotstandardised,secondaryschoolscouldbefacedwithagreatvarietyoflevelsindifferentlanguageswithintheirintake,resultinginaclassroomexperiencewhichundoestheearliergains.Thereisnoadvantageifenthusiasticprimarypupilsbecomedemotivatedassoonastheychangeschools.However,theseissuescanbeaddressedstrateg
