Step1.IntroducetheuseofTheInfinitive.
动词不定式是由“不定式符合to+动词原形”构成的一种非谓语动词结构。
其否定形式是notto+do。
1.作主语可以直接作主语。
如:
Toseeistobelieve.
但为了保持句子平衡,常用it作形式主语,真正的主语即动词不定式放在后面。
句型为Itis/was…todosth.
例如:
It’swrongtoplaytricksonotherpeople.
2.作宾语如:
Iwanttohaveawalkaftersupper.
不定式作宾语的结构为:
及物动词+todo。
动词常用:
advise,agree,ask,begin,continue,decide,except,forget,hope,learn,like,manage,mean,pretend,start,try,want,wish等。
注意:
不定式一般不能作介词的宾语,只有极少数介词如but,except等后才行,此时不定式可以带to或不带to(这些介词之前有行为动词do的各种形式时)
3.作表语如:
Hiswishistobecomeascientist.
不定式作表语一般结构为:
betodosth.
4.作宾语补足语
(1)tell,ask,want,order,teach,invite,warn,wish,help,get,wish等词后常接不定式作宾补。
如:
Itellhimnottogotherebybus.
(2)let,make,have,see,hear,feel,watch,notice后接不带to的不定式作宾补。
如:
Iheardhersinginthenextroom.
注意:
若变为被动语态,在上述结构中,不定式符号to要加上。
5.作定语放在被修饰名词,代词之后.如Ihavealotofworktodo.
注意:
如果动词不定式和前面所修饰的词构成动宾关系,若动词是不及物动词,切记不要忘掉介词.如:
Ihaveasmallbedroomtolivein.
6.作状语
(1)目的状语:
放在go,come,use,live,inorder等词后。
(2)原因状语:
放在sorry,glad,surprised,disappointed,excited等词后。
(3)结果状语。
如:
