Manypeoplefindtheirrewardsunfair,especiallywhencomparingthesesupersalarieswiththoseoftopsurgeonsorresearchscientists,orevenleadingpoliticianswhohavetheresponsibilityofgoverningthecountry.However,sportssalariesarenotdeterminedbyconsideringthecontributiontosocietyapersonmakes,orthelevelofresponsibilityheorsheholds.Instead,theyreflectthepublicpopularityofsportingeneralandthelevelofpublicsupportthatsuccessfulstarscangenerate.Sothenotionof‘fairness’isnottheissue.
Thosewhofeelthatsportsstars’salariesarejustifiedmightarguethatthenumberofprofessionalswithrealtalentisveryfew,andthemoneyisarecognitionoftheskillsanddedicationapersonneedstobesuccessful.Competitionisconstantandaplayeristestedeverytimetheyperformintheirrelativelyshortcareer.Thepressurefromthemediaisintenseandthereislittleprivacyoutofthespotlight.Soallofthesefactorsmayjustifythehugeearnings.

However,reachingtheconclusionthatchangeisinevitableisnotthesameasassumingthat‘changeisalwaysforthebetter’.Unfortunately,itisnotalwaysthecasethatnewthingsarepromotedbecausetheyhavegoodimpactsforthemajorityofpeople.Alotofinnovationsaremadewiththeaimofmakingmoneyforafew.Thisisbecauseitistherichandpowerfulpeopleinoursocietywhoareabletoimposechanges(suchasinworkingconditionsorpropertydevelopments)thatareintheirowninterest.
Inconclusion,Iwouldsaythatchangecanbestimulatingandenergizingforindividualswheytheypurseitthemselves,butthatallchange,includingthatwhichisimposedonpeople,doesnotnecessarilyhavegoodoutcomes.(260字)
