AntonellaZanobetti,aco-authorofthestudy,saidthenewresearchresultsshowthatcurrentU.S.regulationsareinadequatetoprotecttheagingAmericanpopulation,“highlightingtheneedforstricterstandardsandpoliciesthathelpfurtherreducePM2.5concentrationsandimproveairqualityoverall”.
