《老人与海》是我喜爱的一本书,书中蕴含的精神使我深有感触,这一次我又把这本书阅读了一遍,我每次读它总能体会到不一样的道理。
《老人与海》的作者是海明威,他用自己的亲身体会和智慧打造了这本名著,描绘了一个叫桑迪亚哥的老渔民经历的沧桑岁月。
桑迪亚哥居住在一个处在汪洋海边一个小房子里,他过着与世隔绝、贫困的艰苦生活,而且在这里他总是伴着孤火度过每一夜。
就在这里这个老渔民非常无助,整整84天都一无所获,虽然这很令人失望,但他并没有泄气。
次日,他依旧很开心的来到大海的怀抱中。
令他意想不到的是,他终于不到了一条巨大的马林鱼,胜利的血腥味把海中霸王鲨鱼给招来了,这些不请自到的海贼把马林鱼的肉吃了个精光,桑迪亚哥只得到了一副骨架,可他感觉到自己依旧成功了桑迪亚哥不管是失败还是受伤,他总是怀着乐观的心去取得胜利。
读着桑迪亚哥的故事,我想到了语文书中厄运打不垮信念的史学家谈迁、想到了不怕嘲笑、勇于实验的富兰克林,想到了不屈不挠、献身科学研究的诺贝尔,还有李时珍、爱迪生、齐白石他们在获得令人瞩目的成就之前都历经磨难和挫折,正如课文《厄运打不垮的信念》中告诉我们的一样:
在漫长的人生旅途中,难免有崎岖和坎坷,但只要有厄运打不垮的信念,希望之光就会驱散绝望之云。
读着桑迪亚哥的故事,我想到了自己。
有一回,班级举行班委会改选,看着那么多同学勇敢地走上讲台,大声地演讲,我却害怕得迈不出腿、张不开嘴,回家后却又后悔得直哭。
因为怯懦,我失去了锻炼自己、提高自己的机会。
现在读着桑迪亚哥的故事,我再次想到了老师曾经说过的话:
只要为理想努力过,不管有没有成功,至少你把生命的意义融入了其中,你就是一个成功的人。
是的,人生本来就是一种无止境的追求,我应该像桑迪亚哥那样永远不要市区对生活的信心和希望,不要市区对梦想的追求。
我相信,只要学习桑迪亚哥老人那股永不言败的精神,我一定会是生活的强者!
