when和while都表示"当时候”的意思,其中when引导的时间状语从句的动作不延续,
常用一般过去时态,while引导的时间状语从句的动作延续,常用过去进行时态。
1.“主句(过去进行时)+when+从句(一般过去时)”。

beat译成汉语也有“赢”“取胜”“战胜”之意。
但跟win的用法不同,这个动词后面跟的是
比赛、竞争中的对手或战争中的敌人。
