用于询问对方的生日
Mybirthdayisin..../It’sin....表达自己的生日在几月。
例如:
Whenisyourbirthday?
MybirthdayisinJanuary.
Whenisyourmother’sbirthday?
HerbirthdayisinMarch.
2.UncleBill’sbirthdayisinJune.比尔叔叔的生日在六月。
名词所有格的构成有三种:
’s所有格、of所有格和双重所有格三种形式。
A.’s所有格
1)一般在人名后面加’s
Lily’smotherLily的妈妈Tom’sfatherTom的爸爸
theboy’sbag男孩的书包men’sroom男厕所
注意:
‘s所有格表示处所,一般不出现地点
例:
mysister’shouse我姐姐的家,stationer’s文具店thedoctor’s(office)医生的诊所myuncle’s(house)我叔叔的家
2)若名词已有复数词尾s,只加“’”。
例:
Teachers’Dayparents’hope父母们的希望
3)“分别有”、“共有”的表示方法。
a.表示“分别有”,在并列名词后分别加’s
例:
John’sandMary’srooms(两间)
Sarah’sandSusan’sfathers.(强调两位父亲)
b.表示“共有”,只在后一个名词后加’s
例:
JohnandMary’sroom(一间)
SarahandSusan’sfather.(强调共有一位父亲)
B.of所有格
凡不能加“’s”的名词,都可以用“名词+of+名词”的结构来表示所有关系。
例:
thetitleofthesong歌的名字
thepictureofmyfamily我的家庭照片
C.双重所有格
双重所有格即“of+名词’s所有格”,表示整体中的一个或部分。
例:
acousinofmyfather’s我父亲的一个堂弟
severalfriendsofmine我的几个朋友
afriendofhers/his/theirs/ours她/他/他们/我们的一个朋友
