InthefamousLincoln-Douglasdebate,whenDouglasaccusedLincolnofbeingtwo-faced,Lincolnreplied,referencinghisplainlooking,“Honestly,ifIweretwo-faced,wouldIbeshowingyouthisone?
”And,inaway,Lincoln’sfaceitselftellsusmuchabouthissenseofhumor.
