Asweaccumulatedmoredevices,however,wedidn’tthrowoutouroldones.“The
Living-roomtelevisionisreplacedandgetsplantedinthekid’sroom,andsuddenlyone
day,youhaveaTVineveryroomofthehouse,”saidoneresearcher.Theaveragenumberof
electronicdevicesrosefromfourperhouseholdin1992to13in2007.We’renotjustkeeping
theseolddevices-wecontinuetousethem.AccordingtotheanalysisofBabbin’steam,old
