DrilledanchorboltsshallbeHilti(orapprovedequal),chemicalormechanicalanchorsandshallbeinstalledasperthemanufacturer’sinstructions.-

Weldingprocedures,welderqualificationrequirementsandweldingelectrodesshallconformtoCAN/CSA-W59.1,W47.1andW48.WeldingelectrodesshallbeE49XXwithanultimatetensilestrengthXuof490MPa.Weldingelectrodesshallbecompatiblewiththebasemetal.
Piling
SteelpipepilesshallconformtoASTMA252Grade2(Fy=241MPa)orGrade3(Fy=310MPa).Fordesignpurposes,Fy=241MPashallbeused.
MaterialsforH-PilesshallconformtoCAN/CSA-G40.21Grade300Worbetter.
Concretepilesshallhaveminimumcompressivestrengthf’c=30MPa.
SteelreinforcementforconcretepilesshallconformtoCAN/CSA-G30.18Grade400deformedbilletsteelbars.

3.0DESIGNLOADS
DeadLoads
DeadLoadincludes:
∙Weightofthestructureitself,
∙Theweightofallmaterialsofconstructionpermanentlyincorporatedintothestructureincluding,butnotlimitedto,handrails,platforms,insulation,fireproofing,partitions,fixtures,equipment,piping,electrical,instrumentation,HVAC,sprinkleranddelugesystem.
Thedeadloadforequipmentshallconsistoftheweightofallmachinery,equipment,and/orvesselspermanentlysupportedbythestructure,includinginsulation,fireproofingandattachments.
Equipmentloadsshallbebasedoncertifieddatasuppliedbytheequipmentmanufacturerincluding,butnotlimitedto,self-weight(shippingweight),operatingweight,testweight,fittingsweight,platformsweight,andnozzleload,asapplicable.
Thedeadloadforpipingshallconsistofallpipeswiththeassociatedflanges,valves,fittings,andinsulation.
Theweightofthecontentsofequipment,vesselsandpipingshallbeconsideredasdeadload.
